Abundant living is the theme God has given us for the year 2019. Abundant life is the holistic look at life and letting God use you to your best potential. It can be easily defined as positive living and realizing that you can do anything with Christ who can do everything. “The thief comes not but to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly,” John 10:10 (KJV). Satan is the thief referred to in this portion of scripture, very many people have been robbed of their future, focus, resources, and even their opportunities wasted.

To fully understand this theme and live in it, you must understand who entirely God is, His size, His might, His, love, His goodness, His provision and the entire big picture of God. If you’re a child of the richest man on the entire planet, you plan your life in relation to the wealth and stature of your father meaning you don’t limit your planning. God our father is way better than the richest man on earth, He owns cattle on a thousand hills, He owns all the gold and silver, He owns the lakes and rivers and above all, He owns all the nations.

As we go through 2019, it’s important to remember that God doesn’t only own everything but can do anything. First you have to trust Him completely and secondly, you must attempt anything. When you realize how God can work through you, then you will be able to attempt big projects. To fully enjoy abundance, you need to understand and unlock the gifts God has given to you. An average human being can speak up to 20 languages, I can only speak two languages very well-meaning am not maximizing my potential.

Healthy living ranges from how long you sleep, what you eat, do you exercise, and anything pertaining you physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. God wants us to live a long life and for that to happen we need to be healthy. We trust God for our healing but also take steps to achieve and maintain a healthy life.

We must strive to have a healthy relationship with our kids, family, friends, and neighbors. Instead of living to create enemies, abundant life requires us to make friends and live in peace with each other. Therefore, if you have broken relationships you should look into how to restore them.

Uganda has been said to be the second most organic country in the world, we have three seasons each year with the potential to feed five nations. Nationals from other countries come to enjoy the beauty and abundance God has blessed us with, but we as nationals of Uganda, do we see and appreciate it all? God is calling us to wake up and harness the beauty and bounty He has blessed us with.
We need to draw from the abundant life that Jesus gives, have an abundant 2019.
