“YOUR VISION IS YOUR FUTURE”
By Rev. Peter Kasirivu.

A vision is a dream, an idea, a burden, a drive that God puts in your heart as you seek his face. Such a thing may not necessarily be a Christian thing but the product may be to bless God’s people.

Proverbs 29: 18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he”.

Vision involves seeing and seeing beyond the normal or natural means.  People with vision see farther than those around; there is a great need today for God’s people to see farther than the world, to look beyond the present to the future.  “Vision for ministry is a clear mental image of a preferable future, imparted by God to His chosen servants, based upon an accurate understanding of God, self, and circumstances.” George Barna

A vision is a conscious dream of what the future could be like.  Andy Stanley in his famous book Visioneering says; “Vision is a clear mental picture of what could be fueled by the conviction that it should be.”

What Is a Revelation?  A revelation is what is revealed from a source other than yourself.  It is an external invasion of God’s ideas into your spirit and mind. It is supernatural; such a vision usually comes after or during some time of waiting upon the Lord. It may come as an inner voice into your spirit, an audible voice of the Holy Spirit, a prophetic utterance; but most time it seems like some good ideas coming to you. I have also found that many times it may come as you recognize a need and having a great desire or burden to solve it.

Usually God’s direction to you will be confirmed to you, in more than one situation.

The Lord will use more than one means. He will use the Word, the circumstances, the people around and many times your spiritual gifts and natural talents.
